Lack of decent indians in supermarkets
Discussion
Has anyone else noticed this? In the 90's (hey!) remember indian food was well cool and there was a lot of choice in supermarkets. They had whole aisles devoted to chicken masala! Well f
k me - take a look now; there's 6 (at most) choices. And 5 of them are chicken eg chicken masala; chicken vindaloo; chicken dopiaza; chicken jafrezi etc.
WTF?! I'm fed up with it. I want decent choice, and decent variation, and NOT f
kING CHICKEN EVERY TIME. Also I want hot s
t! Not smegging mild crap. And no, I don't wanna make it, I want to buy a fast food meal for gods sake.
what's happened?

DIY is the only way.
Ordinarily, I'd agree. However Asda curries have that 'je ne sais quoi'.
Try the chicken madras.
Two snacks, two rice, two curries for £7 as part of their 'meal deal' - much as I lambast ready meals, I couldn't make it cheaper myself.
The taste's pretty good too.

Sounds like you've lost the ability to use a phone to ask your local decent Indian restaurant to cook and deliver whatever you want to order, and probably only at about 20 mins notice.

Ready meals are all crap. Learn to cook or get takeaways.
I'd basically agree, sure mass market ready meals can taste good , but anything can with enough chemicals. If you have one of these local, give them a try. Better than anything that can be found in a super.

All those people saying Asda's chicken curries are the best remind me of a story in my local paper earlier this year which, judging by the amount of people commenting on it backfired for the person in question! Even in unrelated news topics now people make reference to this article
