What to do with a used marinade?

Had piri piri chicken yesterday which had been marinading since friday. It seemed a shame to throw away the leftover marinade so put some prawns in it this morning and had it for tea tonight with red/white onions, tomato and chorizo. I simmered it for a while to kill the chicken bugs and it tasted terrific. Am I going to die?

Still alive and no sign of gippy tummy. Definitiely won't be throwing away used marinade again as it make a great base for a sauce.
