I've made 4 cakes using the same recipe, one of Mum's that I use every year.

2 x 8inch round
2 x 9inch square

Cooked in 2 batches one week apart of 1 round & one square at a time (as in I staggered the whole process by a week for both sets of cakes so they would be exactly the same - including the pre-soaking of fruit)

Upon being taken out of the oven they were left to cool & then put into tin foil.

Last night, I started the feeding, I unwrapped them all & upon turning them over found that although the skewer had come out clean, one of my 9 inch cakes is really soggy frown to the point that I think the middle is uncooked.

What can I do? Is there anyway to rescue it? (would putting it in the Microwave help? although I don't own one... I can use Mum's)

I'm going to start the soaking again tonight for another.
