Hello chaps, having a relaxing night in this evening whilst I get over a (near fatal) bout of man flu and thought I would treat myself to some garbage to aid recovery.

What's the score with Papa Johns, any good?

Probably the best of the 'chain' places. Go for it, unless you've got a decent independant.

Lovely, thanks.

There is a decent Italian independent near me but as with all things Borough Market it costs a fortune.

I find them very clean, but a bit bland - prefer the big brash Dominos flavours myself.

the secret with Papa's and Dominos is vouchers and lots of maths/spreadsheets or else you get ripped off.

Papa Johns is good pizza, but stupidly expensive unless using vouchers. No good for today but Tuesday is BOGOF day.

Here's a nice 50% off £35+ spend at Pizza Hut Delivery if you need it.

Oh, and Papa John's definitely do the best of the take-out pizza.

I like Papa Johns, nice pizzas, but only if I use a voucher though. There's usually a voucher code which makes a large pizza about £10 which makes it great value compared to Dominos who don't seem to have so many offers on.

Papa Johns pizza is ok, but I can't be the only one that thinks the garlic dip you get with it is equal to satans ballsweat?

I find they have a bit of an overly sweet flavour to them. I think the dough/sauce must have some sugar in it. Other than that, pretty tasty and they do Franks buffalo wings.

I find Dominoes nice but ultimately disappointing.
There is a place called Big Johns in Leicester, not seen it anywhere else but they made lovely tasting pizzas that were cheap too.

Dominos here is a completely different league to the papa johns and pizza hut. Dominos is always hot and fresh whereas the others soggy, greasy and warm. Pizza hut have a serious problem getting the ratio of cheese to sauce right among other things. The last papa johns I had was just terrible, kind of tasted like the dough wasn't fresh. Pizza hut used to be so good is well, I'd pay double for a pizza hut from the old days.
