Crisps dipped in milk chocolate by lays

When are we getting these here? Seems like we've had the same crisps since 1980, just re-branded and marketing doesn't make things taste better.

I am not sure how I feel about this. Although I am intrigued as to how Salt & Vinegar flavour would taste.

They've started doing the opposite in Ireland with the most popular crisps; Tayto Cheese and Onion, in a bar of chocolate.

If you're ever really bored, get some decent cooking chocolate, melt it in a pan and then dip and coat rashers of grilled streaky bacon in it.

Sounds good. Had a bar with ground up caramelised bacon and hazelnuts in it, like a meaty praline.

I was going to offer the OP a recipe since I can't find any sign of anything similar in the UK, but the recipe I found was 'melt chocolate, dip crisps in it'.

The taste of sweet and salty popcorn is sublime, so I'm thinking these crisps could be a winner. I wouldn't want to try making myself, for starters probably need to get the chocolate at just the right consistency and I'm not a great cook.

Are they in fact the same thing?

I've only eaten Lay's crisps in Cyprus, where they always taste stale since the heat makes fatty foods go rancid very quickly.

as far as i can make out it;s a Vauxhall/Opel/Holden kind of thing - look at the current Walkers pack branding overall and the ribbon and globe logo in particular compared to a Lays pack branding ...

I can confirm...

What was previously 'Walkers' crisps is now the same product as Lays. ie. st.

They're thinner - yet greasier - and have a stale cardboardy taste. What used to be the best salt and vinegar flavour around, now tastes like bad own-label.
