Boil and mashed is the only way. You can go crazy and add some carrot before mashing if you want.

Best served with haggis and tatties

Peel, cut into wedges, roast with olive oil and a bit of rosemary. Serve with chicken.

Make a basic masala (onions, garlic, olive oil, salt, tomato puree, turmeric, green chillies etc) and chuck in some chopped turnips. It's how my old folks eat them. I've never tried them as I hate the smell of the things.

Boil and mash. Taste real good topped with some ground black pepper, bacon on the side.

I love to nibble on them cubed, raw. Nom nom nom.

quarter then boil them. serve with butter, a smidge of salt and fresh lime juice. they taste sublime; clean, sharp and buttery.
