I guess this will be somewhere between photo's of your dinner and the great takeaway thread in quality.

first class is kinda cheating when it comes to airline food, cos it is actual food rather than the 'worse than hospital food' that you get in economy.

On a recent trip I managed to obtain seconds on the disgusting breakfasts that somehow I have a love for. It's the only time I will eat scrambled egg.

I think it is the boredom factor and the fact you have to unwrap things and then get them positioned well so you can then delve in. You have to go through the actions of a hearty 4 course meal but with a really small meal, that you wouldn't serve at home, at the end of the quest.

But it is still ok because it beats looking at the chair in front and thinking "how can I move my legs into the aisle to get some circulation back without tripping the gorgeous male or female air hostess up".

Anyone got a Ryan Air snap ?

I think this does play a part, but also that the warm food is always hearty and tasty too.

It was Caledonian cooked breakfasts that really got me going!

BA's club layouts are weird though, having people served over you through that hole on the right and in other configs people having to climb over you to get out. Not my favourite airline.

I'm one of those weirdos who likes airline food and actively looks forward to it when I know there will be an in-flight meal.

I also enjoy flying with KLM as their in flight lager is Heineken in the strange, tall and skinny cans that Coke has just started being sold in. They have Stroopwafels too and half tidy coffee.
