Purely out of interest. I realise those visiting this forum are probably more likely to have an interest in food and cookery and are therefore are more likely to cook fresh more often.
Walking around the shops earlier it struck me just how many people were buying ready cooked convenience food to reheat to feed their families.
Not everyone has the time but I think you can make time if you're organised enough.

I selected 'seldom'.
I have a take away about once per week, and have some sausages and bacon over a weekend, if you count them as processed. I do eat a fair amount of Laughing Cow lighter (about 10 triangles per week), because it has almost no calories.
Through the week I mainly live on baked or grilled chicken and fish, with salads or roasted vegetables.

I'm bit militant about anything processed or pre-prepared. Just won't have it in the house.
For the small amount of effort required one can produce something so much better themselves.
If we're going to be lazy it'll usually be in the form of a takeaway from of a quality indian or local italian pizza (not bloody Dominoes or some s
t), that's about as close as I'll get to junk food.

What do you mean by processed? No Sausages? No Bacon? For the small amount of effort required one can produce something so much better themselves.

Yeah we try and minimise that sort of thing. Of course we eat them (I'm not bloody lentil mental or something) but it is certainly not a weekly affair. I wouldn't want to over analyse it as really enjoy food but I just think twice before it goes in the trolley you know... as such we eat quite a bit of fish.obob said:

I normally buy very good quality butcher's sausages and the butcher's dry cured bacon in the hope that, while they can't be called good for you, is certainly more natural than Richmond snags and any bacon that leaks jizz all over the place.I live alone now and I get home very late but I still manage to avoid ready meals. Actually they make little sense to me, If I don't want to cook I just prefer to eat out, it cost me a bit too much mothly but it is also a good way to still have some social life and see friends and girlfriends. At 20 it was ok to go out at 11.30 PM, 10 years later I would fall asleep on the sofa waiting...

I was just seeing what you meant, I'm with you and rarely eat them, not because I am lentilist either but the wife doesn't eat red meat so mainly get fish or chicken. As said above i only really eat fish fingers or breaded cod fillets in a fish finger sandwich when the Mrs is out and I CBA to cook.

) and feed the kids beans on toast sometimes if we're running late. And have decent sausages, ham and bacon fairly regularly, but that's not processed IMO.
