Kitchen aid - Xmas gift for the mrs
Discussion
Wife does life to do a fair bit of cooking so am thinking of a nice food mixed but these Kitchen aids seem totally top end nice weight to them 5 year warranty look really funky.
But there is a tall one and a shorter mixer what's the difference for?
They sem to be £430 and guess if go to John Lewis for total piece of mind.

John Lewis are offering it for £430 but it comes with a free Kitchen aid ice cream making attachment.
Also there seems to be three mixers one is the bigger one then the other two look similar ish one is a "Design" the other a "series" no idea what the difference means.
better model plus vat though http://www.nisbets.co.uk/KitchenAid-K5-Commercial-...

Its a bigger machine but do you really need it for many things? No idea its a bigger bowel but visually the smaller one IMHO looks better. Also which colour????? They look so good what's the traditional Kitchenaod colour? I'm liking the pistachio

What colour is your kitchen and does your wife normally like things that match? No point getting a green mixer if everything else in the kitchen is red
She likes contempory classic (all our Le Cruset is original colour) kitchen is currently white but will be changed within probably 5 years

So will you if you buy her that for Christmas.
I hear you but I think shed actually really like it. It isn't the "main" gift as the main gift are tickets to see her favourite band front row seats but on Xmas day opening a card as nice as that is doesn't have the magic of a tangible thing. Plus her current mixer is brokenDicky Knee said:
Costco have the heavy duty at £485. I ended up buying it at Harts of Stur..best price and free delivery which was next day and the free ice cream maker was sent as well rather than having to claim back. Worth a look.
Is it better than the smaller one? It doesn't look as nice IMHO With John Lewis its £430 with free ice cream maker - you claim it back and a John Lewis totally hassle free 5 year warranty.
