Regulars on the take away thread will know what these are but for the benefit of the rest of you they are pizza boxes filled with all kinds of crap like doner meat, other kebab meat, chips, onion rings, pakoras etc. Basically a big pile of unhealthy food in a pizza box. I know they originated in Scotland but…..

whats the furthest south that you have been and seen such a delight on a kebab shop menu?

oh

and

post your pics of previous boxes!

Quite surprised these haven't made it big south of the border. Sad this, but I'm going up to Scotland in a couple weeks and can't wait for another munchie box.

Best I've come across is Munchies in Canterbury,

http://www.jasperscanterbury.co.uk/menu/

Lamb & chicken donner, shish, chicken & kofta kebab served on a 12" garlic bread with sauce and salad. Was a greasey as it sounds

That's not really a munchie box it's just a big kebab. Munchie boxes also usually have chips, pakoras, onion rings and other stuff like that it them.

I do love a good Friday night munchie box when the Mrs is out. All the local places in Glasgow do them and some are better than others. My current favourite includes a full mixed kebab(chicken, shish, lamb and donner) a large garlic naan, chicken and veg pakora (with kebab and pakora sauce) chicken chat, onion rings and chips. You can also opt for 2 slices of spicy chicken pizza or the chilli pakora which is basically deep fried whole chillies and is not for the faint hearted. All delivered in a pizza box for the sum of £11 plus £1 delivery
