Your high street coffee chain of choice

I'm sure we all have our favourite little independant coffee shop which makes the pefect flat white (or whatever), but what is your big brand chain of choice when out and about for a quick caffeine hit?

Yep, I enjoy a good coffee now and then and none of those would enter my head to buy one from.

I dithered with that as an option, but offering an "I'm too much of a snob to consider mainstream muck" is not really the purpose of the poll.

I especially omitted the phrase "good coffee" from describing the option of the alternatives. I know "caffeine hit" is barely any better, but it hopefully gets my point across.

The local Costa is my choice, I judge it not on the quality of the chain but the store itself and the staff, all of which is very pleasant and they're all friendly people.
I like coffee and the Americano in my local tastes fine, I have no issues with it. Every store seems to taste different, so if I'm elsewhere then I'll just take what is convenient because I'm always open to new tastes.

Why the word 'snobbish'?

If you don't like something and can get much nicer quite nearby, why would you buy what you don't like?

There should be an option for this in the poll otherwise the results are fundamentality flawed.

Point taken, but I'm just interested to see which of the big chains listed is preferred over the others. If the available 5 were all within metres of each other on a high street, with a 6th random independent next door, I'd be inclinded to try the indie (as I'm sure you would). But that's not the purpose of the poll.

Only available in the South West and Wales, so not inclusive enough.

OK, I'll vote for Costa if the indie was closed.

Mcdonalds would my bottom of the list as that is anti-coffee and I'm amazed it can be classed as coffee. Unless it's improved since trying it years ago but I doubt it has.

The others are just meh.

Costa is my favourite from those. There's one not far from my bus stop on the way to work and I go in at least once a week. I'd put Starbucks second, and Nero last. I haven't tried coffee from the other two.

None of them - I would rather go without than drink the muck that any of them call coffee

I'm surprised with the McDonald's result, although Starbucks is pretty bloody awful.
