Old Wine - OK?

Our office is having a bit of a clearout and has discovered a load of wine that has been stored in a cupboard.

Should they be OK to drink now. If it were red, I know it would be, but whites I'm not so sure about.

2007 Chablis (Slected by Tesco, bottled by Union des Viticultures de Chablis)
2007 Suavignon (Vin de Pays des Coteaux de l'Ardeche)
2007 Cava Demi Sec (Tesco)

I think the best way to find out is to try it. They're very unlikely to do any actual harm, the worst that would happen in my opinion is that they wouldn't be very nice. Could well be fine though.

Just open them and try them.

They aren't worth any cash so if they are undrinkable just use them to clear the drains.

You're not going to poison yourself with them but they will be past their best, a few key things to look for if unsure wether to open
1) fill level; is the wine still up to the neck of the bottle, any evaporation also means a poor closure and likely oxidization.
2) White wine tends to yellow as it goes off, although the chardonnay will have started life yellower than the sauvignon.
3) Stick a torch behind it and see if there are fine particles suspended in the juice. (ignore any crystals that may have formed on the closure or at the base, these are tartrate crystals and are just sugars from the juice)
