pfft. you can get 4.5KG (about 23,000 calorie) Toblerones.

Would prefer a mars bar to a snickers frown

Well the 'Slice n Share' on the wrapper should answer the 'why' aspect.

I wonder if it's made the same, as I wouldn't say a Snickers was that sliceable in the first place. They can be quite tough/chewy.

Could you imagine having to take a dump after eating all of that? Painful!

One a day, combine it with a bit of exercise and you'd probably still lose weight.

Aye. It's under my 3000 calories daily requirement. Would probably feel a little sick after eating it, though.

bog standard / average energy need in fairly sedentary occupations is 2000 -2500 kcal

the full content of a military 24 hour ration pack for temperate use is about 3500kcal - but that assumes full on Infanteeering

so if someoeone is either weight training or working in an active job ( i.e. hard physical work for asignificant propertion of the shift like builders, some agricultural workers, someone working on a loading bay. ... ) a daily calorie requirement of 3000 is not beyond the realms of possibility

Yep. I'm on a mild bulk so eat up to 3000 a day. I'll maintain at about 2500.

i am pretty sure you can get all the energy you need for a physically demanding job from less than 3000 calories a day. 'Larger people' which I presume to mean fatties don't 'need' more calories than normal sized people; they are fat because they eat more calories than normal people, and no-one needs to be fat. If you are 'bulking up' then it depends what you're doing - if you want fatty muscles then eat a fking massive snickers - if you want lean muscle mass then you need to do something different.

I think regardless of the above, there are types of foods that give the energy you need (if it is a genuine need, rather than a want or a choice) that are far better options than a massive chocolate bar. I'd say that is never needed.

I don't think it's that far fetched t suggest that a 6'4 man is going to need more calories than a 5'9 one.

Nice rant btw smile
