Yes I know it's oxymoronic, but is there anything that comes close to tasting reasonable. I'm doing the no alcohol during January thing (ok so far) but, knowing that we were having steak last night I fancied something to complement it. I bought a bottle of S*******ys Red Alcohol Free Aromatised Wine. Yes, it was awful, so much so that I am returning it today! So any suggestions?

No such thing. I tried all of them when I gave up. There is no substitute for red wine; don't even torment yourself getting the decent glasware out.

Becks Blue is ok for beer if you fancy one.

Agreed. I have found the only thing that even vaguely hits the 'something warming' button is Belvoir Ginger Cordial, served hot with a slice of lemon and a chopped chilli in it. I hear good things about something called 'Norfolk Punch', however this sold out everywhere before Christmas and so I've yet to try it.

Good luck. Red wine is the only booze I miss. frown

There isn't anything, even low alcohol is awful. I got through pregnancy with a glass or two of red a week and alcohol free franziskaner weissbier which is rather good!
