Lunch Sarnie Deals - Value ?

I only ever buy meal deals in sainsburys or tesco most other shops are too complicated. I always end up with an item which isn't in the deal because the labelling is crap or they seemingly change items each week.
I've been in a co-op where the staff put through any 3 lunch type foods as the meal deal because even they couldn't work out what was included and what wasn't.
I'm glad I got that of my chest.

Trouble with those lunch sandwich deals is that I always go for the most expensive options, to get best value and save most money. It makes me feel good. But I often end up with stuff I don't want/like. I fancied plain cheese and tomato the other day, with a water and a bag of crisps, but no way was I letting Boots off that lightly. So I bought prawn and truffle with a blueberry jus on granary as it was about £2 more. Combined with an Innocent pomegranate and acai drink and a soreen mini fruit loaf.

I go to boots because I can park easily without effort right outside, do subway or greggs is a double yellow on a narrow road and only supermarket is asda and I'm not doing that .
I wish I had a salad bar supermarket near but in bromborough nothing near.

Dont understand this paying that much for lunch.
I have filtered water at work and dont snack on anything like crisps.
So either I buy a kosher Tuna salad from Tescos as it has no mayo in it. Or I get taste difference humous and 10 small pitta bread.
Both of which come in at £2.50, however 1/2 pitta bread is used following day in next lunch break.
Dinner I spend money on good food, but when I buy lunch (not bringing pre made in to work) its the cheapest just to keep the body ticking over as usually work at my desk during lunch.

There's a Chicken emporium near me that sells a huge Chicken Fillet Burger with Salad, a large portion of Fries and a choice of branded can of drink for £2.99 between 12pm and 4pm. Of all the 'fulfilling' meal deals I reckon this is the best.
Though I know take my own lunch, roasted mix veg & tomatoes, small amount of whole wheat pasta & peppermint tea & bag & a banana ...cost per day around 0.70p. Cheap, healthy, filling. Too many Chicken meal deals
