Lager - Past best before date

A local shop to me specialises in selling stuff that is close to out of date very cheaply. I have been buying some Tyskie from there for £2.49 for 4 cans. Today they had none left, so I went for another brand of Polish lager, however on getting it home I have noticed it expired in April 2013.

If I drink it will I die of Galloping Gutrot?

It might taste a bit metallic but it shouldn't kill you as long as the cans haven't been damaged in any way.

Well I am still here with no ill effects. I won't buy again though, it didn't taste nasty, just not very nice, I don't think it was a date problem, I don't think I'd have liked it if it was in date.

My FIL never gives me anything less that 2 years out of date.
No problems so far - apart from my FIL being a tight arsed nobber

Saw Taj Mahal beer being sold in Southall a few weeks ago. 99 pence for 4 bottles.
Only problem was that it went off in 2010.

I left it alone.
