Indian restaurant in London/Heathrow

I'm taking an American colleague out to dinner this evening. He is staying around Regents Park and I will drive him to Heathrow to stay there before his flight tomorrow morning.

Any suggestions for a good Indian restaurant somewhere on route?

Plenty in Southall. "Brilliant" is one that springs to mind.

Spice rack. Tbh Indian food in America is rubbish so you cant really go wrong

This +1 .. I've taken visiting US colleagues here a few times and it's always been great. 10 minutes from Heathrow in a cab too.

Mantra always used to good. I used to drive from Kingston to eat there but this was in 2008. I went back in 2011 and the food was still very good but not quite as good.

I'm not even a curry eater, and I'd say take a trip to southall. You can't go wrong

Southall is probably the best bet. Otherwise (and the other side of the airport) there's the Ancient Raj in Staines.

There's an acceptable indian on Bath Road (not far from the Premier Inn). Not been there for a few years (since 2009), but it was OK.

Mango Chutney in Englefield green is very good, probably about 15 minutes drive from Heathrow.
