Fancy making some but have no idea how or if it's worth the hassle.
Is it easy enough to do ? Does the end product taste ok ?
Any recommendations what kit to try out for a noob like myself
Any I've ever tasted has tasted worse than stuff that could have been bought from Tesco, and when you factor in all the time messing about with it, cost significantly more.Is it easy enough to do ? Does the end product taste ok ?

If you fancy a go purely for the process of doing it then why not have a bash... if you're hoping to produce something better than you can buy already then I would forget it.
My mum used to brew, beers mostly but many other things too. Xmas ale and barley wines were good. Both from scratch and later using kits. Its a bit like baking really; not difficult but very dependant on temps/quantities/timing.
Tempted to have-a-go myself but try to keep beer out the house these days for the good of the waistline.
