Hi,

Not sure if this should be in regional, but there is not much traffic in the NW forum.

I'm going to Liverpool this weekend with our gurt for my birthday. I've had a look on Trip Advisor at the eating establishments available, however, PH tips have always proved to be the best.

Where is good? Open to all suggestions excluding le poisson.

Cheers

What's your budget? I take it you'd like somewhere decent for your birthday.

At the upper echelons I really like 60 Hope street. Could also eat at Panoramic 34 - it's a restaurant 34 floors up the West tower building with excellent views across the waterfront and city, and the service is the sort where your prolateriat crumbs are brushed off the table, I see there are some conflicting reviews from Tripadvisor though. I didn't have any issues when I went, I just preferred the food at 60 Hope st.

Puschka is decent, as is London Carriage works. If you like meat, there's also a Brazillian/latin restaurant (forgot the name ) where they have a dozen or so different types of meat brought out continually on skewers, you pay a set price I think and only stop eating when you are full.

Enjoy your trip to Liverpool. Just avoid Concert Square if you are going for drinks at bars in the night, most of the local knuckleheads congregate there. The Albert Dock has a couple of nice bars, much more preferable.
