Reading through the music forum, I came across a thread about grillstock, a BBQ, beer and music festival in Bristol and Manchester. It looks brilliant!

I'll certainly be going to it, will probably get one of the pit crew tickets which gives free beer/food etc as apparently it's wallet rapingly expensive otherwise.

TBH looking at the Pit Crew tickets if you're going for the weekend 4 beer tokens at £3.50? and 2 meal vouchers at £5?
Thats £24 and the prices may well be higher.
I def can't do the Fri as Mrs has booked a Paul Weller gig, prob just the Saturday for me but even then the £25 difference between a day and crew ticket could have some value.

Bought mine too. Just gone for a weekend ticket.
We debated the weekend ticket, but having walked through Albert Square (on our way to Red's True Barbecue - amazing - you've got to try it), decided that given the size of the area, one day would be plenty. Saturday tickets booked!I went to Grillstock last year, and it was Sheet.
The tickets weren't exactly cheap and granted you nothing other than access. Once inside i'd expected to get a few free samples and be able to try BBQ food that isn't usually available in the UK.
Totally wrong, instead they'd rounded up a few run of the mill food trucks and burger vans that you could visit any other weekend for free. The queues for anyone decent were crazy - like an hour long. I you did manage to bag some food you were looking at £6+ for a pulled pork roll! The beer was expensive and the music was pretty crap. After an hour i'd queued for a £6 sausage bun that was crap, had a beer and run out of stuff to do. Ended up going to the pud around the corner!

Great demos by Weber. Loads of stalls and kit to look at. Really good music and fantastic set from Vintage Trouble last night, one of the best performances I've ever seen tbh!
Also by chance met the bloke who manufacturs Pro Q Smokers. I'm on the verge of buying one so was great to meet him and hear why it was better then the mountain.
Just waiting for the Mrs to get ready and we're off for a second day there. Hayseed Dixie this afternoon.
