If you like the American-style ultra crispy first preheat the oven to 200c. Then the trick is to stretch the bacon by scraping along it with the back of a knive, put the rashers between 2 fairly heavy-duty baking trays & bake until really crispy - about 20-25 minutes.
Much crispier than frying it.
Much crispier than frying it.

Might sound naive but what's the best method for microwaving, say, two rashers, so they are reasonably crispy? Do you part microwave, then mop up juices, and continue to microwave to the preferred level of doneness? (I hate that Americanism)
I only ever grill.
Look at the thread I linked too a few posts up...not tried it myself yet though
I only ever grill.

Oven
This, Mrs Saleen cooks it in the oven so it is nice and crispyalways comes out perfectly crispy - and leaves the frying pan clean for doing the fried eggs

on those rare occasions that i can get bacon with the hard rind on, which you dont seem to see these days, it puffs up like crackling in the oven.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
