Nespresso machines. Any recommendations?

Looking to get a Nespresso machine, but to be honest, they all look the same to me. Any one stand out in particular? Not too worried about budget, just want something that works and is easy to clean.

I Have a Magimix Citz and milk in limousine black.

Wouldn't be without it. Use around 100 capsules a month, Luckily i have family that work for Nestle so get a small discount.

We got the Delonghi one simply because my wife loves the frothy ones and this machine looked the best for those - one button and your drink is done.

What kinds of drinks do you plan to make in the unit?

I got the Krups Nespresso Citiz & MilkTitanium but rarely do anything with milk so the frother thing is a bit of a waste of space and a basic unit would have been fine in hindsight. If you like a latte or something else milky the Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima style ones might be more suitable to your needs.

The machines are incredibly basic from a technology point of view when you compare them with the ones Tassimo use but you get the impression the internals will be fit for purpose for much longer even if you have to put up with a lack of basics like auto water level checks before the machine starts making a drink.

My best advice would be to try and go along to a boutique, chat to them about the sorts of drinks you want, have them make you some examples and then work back from there to find the machine that suits your needs the best.

I just got one from Costco for £68, Krups, seems very well made, only had one coffee from it and it was lovely, the filter thing I got at Christmas was crap, never gets it hot enough but this is great, so quick as well.

I've got the pixie which came with the £40 voucher so I got the aerocino frother with that. I think it's an amazing little machine for the speed and convenience.

I've said it before, but Nespresso is the MP3 of the coffee world.

Quick, easy and convenient. I'd rather listen to vinyl, but it doesn't fit in with my life.

I have the Krups Citiz, only really use it for espresso and it's pretty good at that considering the speed and lack of faffing.

Got a Delonghi Latissma+, pleased with it, does a nice latte at the touch of a button
