Might have a BBQ on Saturday but looking for some new ideas from the usual sausage and burgers. Anyone tried BBQing lamb before? Maybe lamb chops or even pork belly. Am open to anything as long as its fairly easy to get the ingredients.

Loads of ideas in here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Edit - sort of depends on the type of BBQ you have though. It's much easier to get good results if you've got a lid to keep the heat in - means you can cook 'low and slow'

Ill be doing the hong kong type of BBQ where you use brick structure, wire mesh and coals on top of the wire. So I need a fork for doing the BBQing.

Butterfly a leg of lamb.

Marinade in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, rosemary and seasoning.

BBQ high heat until just pink in middle, crunchy bark on the fat.

Couldnt get hold of any beef ribs so have half leg of lamb and some chicken wings too. Might just stud the lamb with garlic bulbs, some dried thyme olive oil and honey.

I did a butterflied leg of lamb marinated in yoghurt and Durban curry spice... Rather nice it was too.
