Bit of an odd one!

I was recently in germany & had some currywurst that was awesome, I seem to remember spotting a big catering sized pump of heinz curry gewurz behind the counter.

Now the Bratwurst I can find easily over here (mainly, the ones in aldi) but I'm at a loss as where to find the heinz sauce.

I've looked online & can find one made by a company called "Hela" so might give that a try also, but I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to help me track some down!

Cheers!

Make your own it's so easy.

Bottle of your favourite ketchup in a pan. Warm up and stir in some curry powder to taste. Let it cool and job done.

The Heinz one is the best, I usually pick up a bottle whenever I'm in Germany, as I've not been able to find it over here.

I normally buy the Hela one (thats what we used to use in Germany when I lived there) - available in the UK from various random tiny shops, or from here

Looks like they have started doing a specific Currywurst sauce rather than gewurz ketchup plus madras powder.. not tried that one yet, but can feel an order coming on!

Yep the Hela one is authentic, and very tasty. I'm not usually a big fan of ketchup, but I could put that stuff on pretty much everything.
