Popped into my favourite butchers this morning and got a nice leg of lamb butterflied.

It's been marinading all day, ready for a bbq tomorrow.

Skin side> crushed smoked garlic and finely chopped anchovies

Flesh side > grated lemon skin , lemon juice, big bunch of chopped rosemary, smoked paprika, black pepper and balsamic vinegar.

Can't bloody wait for lunch tomorrow, my fridge smells amazing.

Detailed pics obligatory for supportive response.
Thread marked for future reference.
Indirect cooking I assume?
Charcoal or gas?
Mind the flames!

lol South Oxfordshire, yes it will be on a coal bbq.

I've taken pictures during prep, will upload later.

Currently flame grilling some aubergines to make my own babaganoush tonight.

it only took about 15-20 minutes, i put it on the top rack and covered white coals so that it was a medium heat. Turned every few minutes and basted with the remainder of the marinade, and right at the end i put it on the lowest rack to colour up a bit.

The anchovy/garlic marinade went crispy. Bloody delicious.
Served with Simon Hopkinsons roasted Peppers - http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/piedmontese_pepp...

Once I get a decent BBQ I know what I'm breaking it in with! Looks epic!
