Manchester - Food Recommendations

Hi all, spending a long weekend in Manchester in 4 weeks time with family and friends.
We are staying in the City Centre and will be there Friday-Sunday.
I was looking for food recommendations around the area? A friend has mentioned Wilmslow Rd for good Middle Eastern style food & Shisha.
Curveball - My sister in law is a veggie so need to keep her happy too.
Thanks for any advice.

Closest thing to michellin star:
The French at the Midland (will probably get one next year)
Manchester House
Really nice one (venue very cool) is Autralasia on deansgate
My personal favourite is Chichetti San Carlo (in kendals on Deansgate) opposite it's big brother (San Carlo, much bigger lots footballers), but for me Chicetti is much much better)
-not rated Michael Caines at Abode or Aumbry in Prestwich (the above are better)

Pie and Ale in the Northern Quarter does what it says on the tin and is pretty damn good IMO. If you want a bit more than a pie and a pint, then Bakerie is next door and just as good.
Tai Wu for Dim Sum on a Sunday & Tai Pan for Chinese the rest of the time

Harvey Nicks has a posh 'cafe' if you fancy a posh lunch
San Carlo always get good reviews & is popular with Man U players & B list celebs
- depends on your taste but a quick check on trip advisor will give you the latest reviews, else try foursquare

dimitris v good for greek
not sure i'd describe greens as being just south of city centre, it's in didsbury but it's on the tram line now so i guess it's doable. West Didsbury has some excellent places really.
Trof and Kosmonaut pretty good for bars that also do food.

The Chop House.It will never get a Michelin Star but the food is delicious and the booze is equally good.It's also very relaxed, which isn't something you can say about The French.
there are 3 chop houses now. The one on albert square is the newest and has a huge and fantastic win list, but i prefer the down to earth charm of mr thomas'

Yuzu is absolutely superb for a spot of Japanese food. Truly lovely - if you do go I bet you won't be able to resist ordering a 2nd round of Gyoza
As well as The French there's Rogan's brasserie which is in the Midland and called Mr Cooper's House and Garden. That's good but you will probably leave hungry and poor.
The best restaurants though are out of the City in my view. Burton Road in West Didsbury has a few. My most recent fave though is Damson in Heaton Moor. Easily up there as one of the best in all of Manchester. It was as good as Mr Cooper's, but I'd sooner go here as I left fulfilled and not empty of wallet.
Or head to the Northern Quarter - there are plenty of independents doing great stuff up there

Manchester House best for food with an awesome cocktail bar. Quite a long waiting list though.
Mr Tom' and Sam's Chophouses good food and beer in a traditional Manchester pub.
I still think Restaurant Bar and Grill is good and it's good to sit outside on the terrace.

Anyone else been here? Is it as good as it looks? If so I will definitely be giving it ago next week.
Initial reviews of Beef & Pudding were mixed though. Same old problem for anywhere in Manchester - cr4p service. I'm hoping it's bucked up as I'd like to go soon.
