To be fair it's the only chain I regularly go to (apart from GBK, but that's not the size of Pizza Express) and I really like their pizzas. Their salad dressing is rather nice too.

I get the supermarket pizza's when they are on offer. Not been to pizza express, are the pizza express ones bought in the supermarkets close to what you get?

Out of interest, does it mean that some foreign investment company now make more profit when I eat at Pizza Express? Why did the Gondola Group sell PE?

I don't buy supermarket pizza often, but on the rare occasions that I do, I get the largest basic margherita (any brand) and pile on extra toppings.

The problem with cooking pizza at home is that it is nigh on impossible to get a domestic oven hot enough to cook the thing without drying it out.

In that sense there's no comparison to restaurant pizza (Pizza Express being the best of the chains). However I rarely eat restaurant pizza as I think it's an expensive meal for what you get.

My neff oven goes to 300. That will cook a lovely thin based pizza in 4 minutes on a pizza stone.

The supermarket versions look similar, but the restaurant pizzas are better in my opinion.

Haven't been in one for a few years though.

I'm not a Pizza Express fan, not brilliant pizzas, and I'm not going to a restaurant just for the salad dressing.

Only been in one once and it was dreadful, can@t imagine Chinese ownership will make me re-visit.
