Gaggia Classic cleaning
Discussion
Had an issue with my Classic where it stopped pumping properly, so I stripped it and checked for blockages but still wasn't right so in the end I ran some vinegar through it to clear any calcium. Bingo, pressure came back within about 150mls of vinegar pumped. Result.
However, I then cleaned everything in Cafiza, and then ran two full tanks of water through to flush, but the coffee is very far from right! Nasty aftertaste clearly caused by some chemical or other.
Any idea either whether I need to run more water through (and how much) or do I need to use something else to remove any chemical residue before good coffee returns? And if so, what?
TIA.
