I'm on a low carb diet which means sandwiches are out for me, fortunately there is a branch of Tossed not far from where I am working. There's a couple in the west too.

I assume that the sandwich shop you refer to is Make Mine? If not, then that is on Dean St and well worth trying.

In addition, I'd recommend:

- Papaya is a little thai takeaway on St Annes Court (the small street linking Dean St to Wardour St), hearty portions of tasty thai food. The line moves quick so don't be put off if it's long.
- Chipotle on Wardour St does a decent burrito.
- Malletti on Noel St for some very good pizza al taglio (by the slice) and decent pasta too.
- Pizza Pilgrim on Dean St for a cheeky whole pizza takeaway. Started off in a van at Berwick St market, but think van goes elsewhere now.
- Maoz on Old Compton St does a decent falafel.
- Kati Roll Company for indian street food style wraps
- Cafe Bruno on Wardour St is a decent greasy spoon type cafe if you want something of that type.
- There is Leon not too far away either, which is 'healthy fast food' kind of thing. Very popular though I'm not too keen.
- Wahacito on Charlotte St is a deli version of Wahaca and they do a few takeaway lunch dishes too.

There are also some decent boozers in the area, the pub next to the strip club on Dean St had decent food and there was another pub near Carnavy St (can't remember the name) which had good pies and sausages etc too.

Not strictly a lunch item, but I'd also urge you to go and try some gelato from Gelupo at some point. Comparable in quality to the stuff I ate in Italy.

I'm a big fan of Pho. Little chain but really zingy Vietnamese salads buns and soups. All pretty healthy. If you're feeling a bit greedy you can always get a portion of the pork spring roles which are unbelievable.
