Hey All,

What's the deal with Pizza Hut Buffet these days? Last time I went, a few years back, you went up to the counter and helped yourself. Now it appears you order from a limited selection. Do they bring the pizza by the slice, or do the small individual sizes? Anyone been recently?

Thanks.

Last time I took the kids, couple of weeks ago, Lincoln branch, it was still the same "day of the locusts" arrangement as always with new pizzas arriving at a central point every 10 mins or so and immediately being pounced on by the hoards (central Lincoln branch is quite near the university so gets a lot of student customers).

We took the little un about 6 months ago and it was the same. Pizzas brought out at random, mad bunfight ensues. Rinse and repeat.

Have they changed the recipes? The bread was so dry last time I went, same as a frozen pizza. 10 years ago I loved pizza hut, the base was like fried bread and the cheese was from heaven.

I was full after 22.
The 23rd slice was filling up my pipe, or so it felt.
Burping felt awesome, it shuffled it all down to make more room, but I couldn't finish it.

I go around doing food challenges for laughs though. I can do 50 chicken wings in 7 minutes 10 seconds.

I am 6ft and 14 stone.
Fatties usually look capable, but often fail smile
Friend of mines record is 34! Watched him eat every slice.

Mine is 22 slices. Certainly worth the £9 (£7 then £2 for ultd soft drinks!).

At 18 and the height of my fitness and eating capacity I did 14 and was pleased with myself, I now know I'm a rank amateur! getmecoat

I'm going to Amalias in Liverpool this Friday for a Calzone Challenge.

But I agree with others, Pizza Hut pizzas are all greasy nowadays.
His record (and mine) were both done when we were 17 (some 4 years ago now). Haven't been able to get near it now.

He did this in 19mins:

We stopped for a Pizza Hut buffet a few weeks ago. They seem to deliberately under-supply, such that the fresh pizza that appears sporadically is polished off in seconds. The food itself isn't as good as it used to be either - greasy bases and bland toppings.
