Anyone from or know Newark?

I'm eating at a restaurant there tomorrow evening and am in need of several good pubs to visit prior.

Central only and don't mind traditional, real ale or "trendy" so long as not filled with local hard nuts.

Was drinking there only yesterday. Beer was ok but service crap. The place I was at takes a bit of finding as it was hidden behind some work screens. Head to the end of the row, just past gate 120, and is on your left.

There's one on a barge... Can't say it's particularly good or bad, but it's worth seeing once for the novelty/weird factor.

Try the Fox and Crown.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Fox-and-Crown-N...

It used to be my local a few years ago. Fantastic selection of ales, decent lagers and a vast selection of whisky, good food too and live music

There might be a small Welshman in there called Jonathan Cash. please feel free to give hime a friendly punch and say Hi from me.

probably the safest pub in Newark.

Hmmmn. Was it just me who though Pfed was in New Jersey?

I used to know Newark, NJ quite well at one time. In fact most of New Jersey. Much nicer state than you see from I95 leaving the airport...
