Marzipan- what's the best?

Having just polished off the last of the marzipan in the cupboard it got me thinking, what is the best one you can buy?

Thinking it might be nice to have some dipped in chocolate at Christmas.

I proper love marzipan and could eat block after block.

Niederegger , get it in Waitrose and Tesco.
I love it too , must be a family thing , my dad , both brothers and both my kids fight over it.
Love it or hate it I guess...

why not make it yourself- its really very easy. Go on a hunt for very high quality ground Almonds and the marzipan will taste amazing.

This. They make it in Luebeck and have dedicated shops to sell it there. I'm quite literally like a kid in a candy shop when I have to go for work. Our office over there has branded Niederegger chocolate covered marzipan selection boxes for business guests (and thieving northern monkeys like me)

It had crossed my mind but I was being lazy. But will do it and then eat the whole lot. Cook's privileges.

My mum used to make the Christmas cake , and made extra marzipan for us.good old mum!
There is a cake you can buy in the "paul" patisserie which is divine.its a strawberry cream cake with a thick layer of green marzipan over the top.
Check it out , f**king amazing.
When someone bought one at work , I was virtually the only person who liked it!

I think that cake is one of the ones they did in the bake off programme.

The Princess Cake.

Making your own marzipan is literally a piece of cake It's only ground almonds, icing sugar and an egg white.

If ever I have something really spicy for lunch, I need an M&S Marzipan bar to complete the meal. It's super sweet, well covered in dark choc and about the right size. Perfect for extinguishing some chilly fuelled inferno!

Not classically "the best" but hits the spot!
