I was in The Monarch in Camden last night. Ordered a large soda water with a dash of lime cordial. 20p.

That's 20p. 4 bob. In London NW1, towards the end of 2014. 20p.

I was so stunned I could hardly drink it!

By comparison, I was charged £3.30 for a pint of soda water in a bar / restaurant in Glasgow about a month ago.

Over 3 quid for a pint of fizzy water?!

In true PH tradition, I wrote a (not so strongly worded) email and the manager apologised and gave us a meal on the house
