Looks like i'm going to get dragged off to London Shopping at the weekend.

Can anyone recommend a decent pub / restaurant near oxford street for dinner, looking for an alternative to the usual chains.

Fortnum and Mason's Gallery restaurant - book on-line - not as expensive as you might imagine. We go there every year on the annual trip up for the LBVR...

The Windmill is a good Youngs Pub, just off Regent St just down from Oxford Circus. Good beers and pies.

Le Relais de Venise in Marylebone was one that has been recommended here - simple menu: French style steak and chips, no reservations tho, but there's a fair few decent eateries around Marylebone High St

Walk into Soho, just south of Oxford Street - hundreds of places to eat/drink there...
