Recommend me a Christmas tipple

Every year I make a point of trying a different, interesting drink to help Christmas with the parents/in-laws pass more hazily. Last year was Dry Martini Christmas, the year before Whiskey Mack Christmas and a couple of years before that, (I'm dreaming of a) White Russian Christmas.

Needs to be relatively kerfuffle-free to make, spirit based (it'll have to balance on a belly full of turkey so no long drinks) and a bit of a break from the standard G&T (with which there's nothing wrong, of course).

Planning ahead, as practice makes perfect.

Pedro jimenez sherry. Really sweet and thick sherry. Tastes nothing like ordinary sherry. It tastes like liquidised christmas cake.

Gimlets are nice as a start to the drinking - use Tanqueray/Hendricks and shake two shots gin with one shot lime cordial & big squeeze of fresh lime with ice and strain to serve (in martini glass if you can pull it off). So good and not at all filling

Spiced Rum, fresh lime and soda is good aswell

A friend suggested Port and Brandy, which sounds a bit heavy, but I've got both in so am willing to test it for the sake of science.

Singapore slings. After the richness and amount of Christmas dinner consumed at my house, they're the perfect evening drink.
Drambuie and loads of ice is a winner too, but can be a bit sweet after all the puddings.

Always fancied a Singapore Sling and it sounds spot on but for the number of ingredients and effort required!

Port and Brandy was very warming but not right for my Festive purposes - too rich.

Make a jug! I leave the recipe and all the ingredients out, and whoever breaks away from the christmas board games gets elected to make a new one.

Replace soda with ginger beer/ale too makes a lovely spicy Christmas feeling drink.

It is actually Pussers, however it is lovely, very strong but a fantastic flavour.

My dad's favourite but it ain't cheap and can be hard to get hold of.
