A few of us PH staff have just been out for lunch, and I was met with gasps from my colleagues and a funny look from the waiter when I asked for mayonnaise for my pizza. Am I wrong?!

Has everyone else been brought up in a world where this is not acceptable?

Not tried it on hot pizza, but mayo or salad cream on cold pizza the next day is brilliant.

Its the perfect Pizza partner in my view even hot pizza. Goes very well with a spicy pizza too, salad cream is good as well!

Crème Fraîche....Entirely acceptable.

Mayo lacks style.

Been known to put a small dab of coleslaw on a slice, I guess if you take the veg out it starts with a Mayo'ish base.

On the side to dip your crust or side of order of chips is fine. On the pizza itself? No, just no!

Oh, 100% on the side for dipping! I'll take that as a win. Has to work as a substitute for garlic and herb dip when you're not having a Dominos!

Not sure I've eaten a pizza at home in years without having mayo on the side to dip it in. It's one of my absolute favourite food things.

Would never put it directly on the pizza during cooking or whatever but it's brilliant and unhealthy as a dip!

6 posts in 66 months, and on the PH staff. Asking for mayo on your pizza is precisely why you're not allowed to post.

Christ, these threads bring out all the deviants, just like that "Is eating cold beans normal" thread.
