Tunnocks caramel wafers: How many?

I've always been slightly skeptical about the '5,000,000 made and sold every week' claim on their biscuit wrappers. Does this seem feasible to you? Seems an awful lot to me.

Its entirely plausible. The wrappers used to say 4,000,000.
They are very nice.

I see they are now doing dark chocolate tea cakes, dark caramel wafers would be nice.

Here's a little snapshot from their accounts...
I think retail is about 25-30p per bar...
Imagine price to trade is much lower.. so absolutely possible

But they do sell a lot of other stuff too. Tunnock's Teacakes are a massive seller. So are Snowballs.

Have you tried them? I have suspicions they are being humble and underestimating.

I haven't bought these for about 20 years, just because I used to each the whole multipack in one sitting and it wasn't doing me any good. When I see them in the shop I look away and move swiftly on.

Likewise; I think they have crack in them or something. Caramel Logs are the same, once the pack was opened the whole lot ended up being scoffed. Snowballs are less hazardous as you go into hypergycemic shock after eating 2 in a row, but they make an awful mess with coconut everywhere.

Yes and I love them. As to whether I prefer the milk or dark chocolate, not sure. I have noticed though there are no bold sales claims on the wrappers of the dark chocolate ones, maybe the milk versions are the cash cow.

Their stuff is amazing, dont know what it is but they just taste better, not that much chocolate on the wafer bars, I find some put too much on so suits me, just tastes real if you know what I mean, doesnt seem overly processed, the coconut log things are utterly amazing but can never find them.
