I've had a crack at hot cross buns for the first time.

Not bad for a first attempt if I do say so myself. No doubt the scouse laser-eyed barn owl would be muttering something about under-proving but who cares. They were edible.

So who else is rustling up some tasty Easter treats? Show us your noms!

Just bought a really nice two-bone rib of beef for tomorrow, which I'll do with some spuds, sprouts, carrots, home made Yorkshire pudding, proper gravy. Gotta love Easter, great excuse for something special smile

That beef looks good.

I did two lamb shoulders on the Weber yesterday, all done in 90 minutes.
The smoked gravy was an unexpected hit!

Apologies for the crappy 'phone picture.

I don't see why buns should be cross

First time I've ever made them and ended up way wetter than they should have done so very hard to shape. Taste great though.
