At the Radisson. Anyone been there... Is it decent enough, say on par with gaucho. Cheers P

I haven't eaten there personally but I've stayed in the Guildford Radisson many many times. A gentleman next to me at the bar ordered a steak from there and it seemed decent enough. I wouldn't go there for a special event though, it's literally just a hotel restaurant. Also, the beer price on its own will bankrupt you (£4.56 for a bottle of peroni, anyone?).

It's OK - but the menu is lousy for a hotel restaurant if you're there for any more than 2 nights.

I paid seven quid for a bottle of Peroni at the Savoy three years ago.

Only once mind.

We had dinner at the Barclay club pall mall maybe 8 yrs ago. Large makers mark was 25 quid! 5 for bottled beer is pretty common

Wife went there on a hen night last weekend; said the food was OK but nothing special and the service was pretty dire, chips were good though.

A colleague has also been and said it is average.

Both have said that they wouldn't rush back.

I wouldn't have thought it is on a par with Goucho's; I've eaten at the Richmond one and the steak was awesome.

Well I went last night. Won't be rushing back. It's ok but bloody noisy and the
Banquet style seating makes more for a posh Denny's. Steak was over cooked, staff attentive and pleasant. I find Guildford limited on good restaurants. Thanks for the contributions to the thread.
