Discussion
I am a governor at the local primary school and after the recent government policy to give all KS1 kids free school meals, our school kitchen has been struggling.
We are in need of a 10 grid gas oven and have been quoted over £12k + vat.
I am intersted to learn if i can find a used/recon oven to this specification.
Thanks.

I've just become responsible for a commercial kitchen - it's a bit of a minefield or so it seems.
It might be worth checking that a gas engineer will even fit the cooker before you look at the budget.
We looked at emptying out the kitchen to lay a new vinyl floor, each commercial kitchen company we approached said they would pull the kit out, but refuse to reconnect it due to the cooker hood not meeting existing regs.
It's cost about £20k so far for the hood/lights/mechanical fresh air to meet the current regs. We fitted a new interlock system with integrated gas detection at the same time as it was a minor part of the cost.
The chef now moans he's cold in there due to the air replacement

Clearly not working hard enough to break a sweat!
