Coffee machine portafilter knackered.

Got a Gaggia Cubika Plus. Far far from the last word in top class espresso production but it does me and I'm really missing it.
The issue is my portafilter is bust. It started playing up so I stripped it all down, descaled everything (it was very very scaly) and in putting it back together I managed to snap a tiny spring retention tab in the filter gubbins that controls the flow valve. I've tried to bodge it with a cut up spring elsewhere but it just won't play. Basically, nothing comes out of the damn thing.
So I need to replace the portafilter but are they all equal? It comes with a pressurised filter but I'm aware you can also get unpressurised ones with different spouts or "naked" etc etc.
Do I just get a direct replacement or can I pimp my portafilter??
