as above, it's for a special occasion but I can't find too many reviews as it's not been open very long.

I went to the pre-opening soft launch thing. Excellent food, excellent decor, excellent service. Not worth full price (unless you are a powerfully built company director type who cares not for the cost)

I like the look of the food but the prices are certainly up there with the best.

Maybe it will be.

If you like this type of food, I'd wholeheartedly recommend House of the Rising Sun, Shrewsbury.

Same type of stuff, except more variety, sashimi, and cheaper. Top notch food.

We went a couple of weeks ago. It really was tremendously good! The food, drinks and service were all first rate.

I think our bill came to about £150 for the two of us with a few cocktails in the bar downstairs first (try the smokin' aces - it was bloody good).

We'll definitely go again!

ETA, standout dishes for us were the beef and foie gras gyoza, char sui pork and the Silk Road dessert (a delicious work of art).

Booking is a must!

Just goes to show how subjective food and restaurants can be !
Moved to Shrewsbury about a year ago and tried most of the eateries in town now, there are some absolutely stonking ones.
We chose some of the fusion dishes in HOTRS and I can only say it was the worst meal I've had in a long time!
The place is annoying loud as well, make your mind up raucous party music or food - the two don't go together.
