Beginners BBQ starter kit
Discussion
I have been following the BBQ thread with a mixture of awe, confusion, salivation and jealousy, so today decided to take the plunge and bought myself some kit.
This is what I got, is there anything else I need? (I have tongs etc)

You need a chimney, Weber ones are nice but there are cheaper ones. A decent pair of tongs (2 preferably), a spatula type thing & a thermometer. A decent mitt would be very handy too!
I use a Weber grill brush to clean the grate, you can use scrunched up tin foil though like I did for years.
We have the Weber BBQ book & it's very good if you're a novice, loads of ideas, recipes etc.
Most importantly, PRACTICE - get out & use it

Starter chimney.
What manner of contraption is this and can I do smoking on that model? I think my limit is probably burgers, sausages and kebabs
but am keen to learn.http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1...
