I know many will consider this a travesty, but I've just ordered a Weber e310 gas bbq....

Now that I have joined the dark (and convenient) side, I need to get a gas bottle for it.

However I have a choice of an internal 5kg bottle, or hook up a larger external bottle. Prefer the idea of the 5kg one, but do they need continual filling. I know it depends upon how much I use it!

Just wondered what the general view is?

The small bottles are a bit useless really, mine lasted about 2 months.

get the 10kg. I use the gaslight ones as you can see how much gas is left

The simple way to check how much gas is in a regular bottle is to pour boiling water down the side of the bottle. The water will cool where the gas is, and evaporate above where there is no gas.
