Decent wine? Or not?

Been given a bottle of St Emilion Chateau Haut Fonrazade Grand Cru 1975

Is it any good? worth drinking or will it have gone off by now?

I like wine, but am not a great connoisseur.

Its likely over the hill to be honest unless its been cellared carefully all this time. A St Emilion Grand Cru is a top wine but drink up soon as you like.
Decant it first and give it time to breathe. Good Luck

Better not to let older wines breath for too long. Just decant to remove any sediment then see what it's like.
