Feeling lazy after a 60 hour week I bought some ready mash and a packet mix of sausage casserole.

An hour later it is on my plate and the whole thing is inedible.

Looks like the lasagne leftovers will get it later.

Tell me your tales of woe.

My wife doesn't like me cooking curries at the best of times so while she was out I thought I'd turn my hand to a fish curry.
Not only was it awful but the house stank for days.

Got a marrow a few weeks ago by accident.

Cooked "stuffed marrow"

Stuffing was nice, marrow was 100% rank.


Cant see how it's possible for a marrow to be good.

Frequently, I used to work on a ratio of 5 for me and 1 for the bin but after much practice I'm down to 20 for me and 1 for the bin. Last week was bad and 2 went in the bin, I messed up a stir-fry and the next day a fry-up. I'm not meant to fry things it seems so I've eaten out since. I'll try cooking again tomorrow but I'm going to keep it simple with steak.

Well in my defence I was either 16 or 17. So that's a long time ago believe me. Was working what we called a "ghoster" for extra money. It was our habit to pick something up from the canteen that could be heated under our grill later on.
I bought and cooked a pork pie. Smelt and looked fking disgusting. . And what's worse is all the older guys there just stood and watched me do it.

No I didn't eat it.

Once managed to BBQ some chicken such that it was burned on the outside and raw on the inside. The local Pizza delivery saved the night.

Accidentally caramelised apples with salt instead of sugar...forced a few mouthfull's down (I don't leave any food in fished from my upbringing, no matter how rank) before I realised and chucked the lot

Yup. Made one of my lovely Asian inspired beef dishes. I picked up a bottle of fish sauce instead of Oyster sauce. They were the same brand and bottle but trust me, the taste at the end was very different. I was wondering why the kitchen smelled so bad.
