Weekend retreat required in Norfolk
Discussion
Looking to spend a romantic weekend away with my wife in Norfolk, preferably by the coast. Want a really nice inn or hotel, serving great food and magnificent beer with comfy accommodation.Somewhere to unwind. We are going in Feb so roaring log fires are also a prerequisite. Any recommendations?
Have a look at The Pigs in Egdefield. I've been plenty of times for grub and stayed there in August for 3 nights, it's a great spot.
You should also have a look at The Orange Tree in Thornham and the Wiveton Bell too. Not stayed at either but the food at both is consistently very good.

+1 for this if you want 'fancy' IMO. I went a couple of years back. Food very good but the then limited menu irked me somewhat.I'd be half tempted to do the Victoria to get a bit more atmosphere.

Had a really, really good meal there and they do rooms.
