2.8kg crown, wrapped in Bacon. Do I need to cover it in foil?

180oC for 2 Hours 20 minutes.

Toast is my cooking limits, but have just watched the wife put a crown in the oven and it was covered.

Edit to add she put butter under the skin of the crown.

It helps it not to dry out quite so much, if you don't have any don't panic!

Mix olive oil & butter into a mess & put it in between the flesh & the skin (messy job but keeps it moist!)

I watched Rick Stein's Food Heroes Christmas edition earlier in the week...he was referring to the ridiculous proliferation of faffing about advice regarding turkey cooking which appears at this time of year. He quoted Escoffier "roast in a moderate oven".
