I was out in Manchester last night and stumbled across this beer. Nice it was too with an aftertaste of Mobil 1

It always surprises me how many PHers either have never seen the hundreds of similar posts over the years or have visited the beer aisle in any UK supermarket.

Don't worry about it, the search function is usually rubbish anyway, unless they have mended it, and you have supplied a couple of people with a sense of oneupmanship which is actually the fuel that this site runs on wink

Rather than getting all snarky, how about we turn this into a thread about other PH worthy beers.

I'll start with a local one:

The brewery is in an old garage that used to be run by a wonderful lady who was a brilliant mechanic and raced Jaguars. Used to hoon around town in her E-type well into her 70s.

I once had a stout called "Old Engine Oil" at a Weatherspoons Ale Festival a few years back. Never seen it since. Shame, as it was really nice.

EDIT: Just Google'd it and found a website it's available on smile

Hey lads, the weekly thread on Pistonheads lager has arrived!

Ale related, the bottle for 'Old Speckled Hen' had some story on an old MG that was used as a local runaround, flecked with various bits of paint. It was 'the owld speckled 'an'.
