Yes I know it's Tesco but they deliver to us for nothing, which is a winner as I need 12 bottles.

Plus they have 25% off for 6 or more bottles at the moment.

Their max price vintage is £40 a bottle, but the most expensive is not always the most drinkable.

So any recommendations?

It's for a social event with around 40 attending.

Ta.

Drive to Aldi, get their cheap stuff. Perfectly toothsome.

I had Aldi Prosecco at my wedding. Nobody remarked on it. I am happy. £5 a bottle

Whichever Veuve Clicquot option is best for your budget would be my choice.
You'll not go wrong with that.

Its a place, a building, where money can be exchanged for goods or services.

Personally id be going to the wholesaler, but most people don't have access to a card.

Have you checked if you can get a better deal from Majestic Wine? They do decent multi buy discount and I'm pretty sure they deliver and do glass hire as well if you need it. They could also give advice on what's good.

Veuve yellow label is rubbish. The worst of the common Grande Marques in my opinion. Bollinger and Laurent Perrier are good. You'd be much better with a good grower champagne or a good English sparkling wine.

Bottles will be on the tables and some guests are well heeled.

I'll drink anything but you can't beat a smooth chilled quality champers.

Think Aldi is a no no.

All of this, a smattering of the pink stuff on a warm evening will also be appropriate, my local Majestic usually has decent offers on the champers.

Educate them.

Gremmilet NV. Used to cost me £13 trade. If it's good enough for French Embassies it's good enough for me.

If he thinks Aldi can't provide quality he needs to educate himself first biggrinbiggrin

Plenty of suppliers on Amazon who I'm sure would discount and deliver for a couple of cases.
